Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is inviting horse riding enthusiasts to join KSS Ride to help the life-saving charity raise vital funds.
Taking place at Bilsington Priory Estate, Ashford on 21st August 2022, riders and their horses will be able to enjoy an eight-mile route through the beautiful woodlands and open fields of the ancient Estate. The fundraising event is open to riders of all abilities and ages (U16s must be accompanied by a participating adult) and tickets are £25, with all profits supporting the charity.
Each year, KSS must raise £15.2M to operate its life-saving service 24/7, and 86% of its total income is raised through the generosity of KSS’s supporters. Following the enormous success of the first KSS Ride in August 2021 – which raised more than £30K – KSS hopes that this year’s event will help the charity to raise even more funds.
KSS is grateful to Fidelity International who are kindly sponsoring the event.
Lauren Simmons, Head of Events at KSS, said: “We were delighted with the response to our very first KSS Ride last year, and are thrilled to be bringing it back! We have a maximum capacity of 150 riders at Bilsington Priory Estate so hope that people will book early to secure their space – all registered riders for this event will receive a free high-visibility KSS Ride waistcoat.”
“As a charity, we are reliant on public generosity to deliver our life-saving service; your support is as critical as our care. By taking part in KSS Ride you will help make sure we continue to be there for the most critically ill patients across our region and, together, we can help even more people in their hour of need.”
“Once again this year we will be offering a remote Ride for those who are unable to attend the venue but who would like to join in closer to home. We are incredibly grateful to all riders who take part in this fundraiser, whether at Bilsington Priory Estate or at a location of their choice.”
